Weighbridge Operator

**Permanent, Full-time (average of 76 hours per fortnight)**

Based at the Millar Road Landfill facility, you will be responsible for receiving and securing income at the weighbridge control office, and providing administrative support.

This role offers extensive customer contact as you will be part of the dedicated and busy team that responds to weighbridge and general customer enquiries. These will range from customer enquiries, through to the accurate classification of waste received at the facility.

Sound interpersonal and public relations skills are essential for this busy role. Previous experience in a cash handling environment (receipting, balancing and preparing banking of monies) is required. You will have good computer literacy, especially in the Microsoft Office suite, and a willingness to learn software specific to this role. An understanding of waste acceptance criteria would be advantageous.

The weighbridge team operates on a roster to ensure that services are available at the facility from Monday to Sunday. Hours will be every second weekend for 9.5 hours per day on the Saturday and Sunday, and to provide cover for leave for permanent weighbridge operators as required.

Previous Mandalay experience is desirable.
- Previous experience in a front line customer service role with sound interpersonal, public relations and communication skills
- Developed numeracy and keyboard skills with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of cash handling and balancing procedures with a sound knowledge of banking and security procedures and credit facility processes

This position offers a weekly wage of $1,412 gross which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates.
