**About the role**

An opportunity exists for a Cleaner (Environmental Services Worker) to join our team at Homesteads Aged Care Service. This is a casual opportunity that will require you to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7am to 1pm. You will be a hands-on individual who will join our supportive, caring and experienced team.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility's residential areas. We are currently looking for someone passionate about cleaning, however, depending on the service's requirements, your day may also include laundry and kitchen hand tasks like:

- Washing, drying and folding linen and clothing;
- Preparing and serving meals.

**About you**

You are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and can also work autonomously. You will be passionate about cleaning but also don't mind helping out with laundry duties if required. Working in a fast-pace environment you are committed to provide excellent customer service to our residents. You have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs.

Ideally you will have:

- Certificate II in Cleaning Operations - desirable but not essential;
- Experience working within the Aged Care industry is desirable but not essential as we will provide you with training to succeed in this role;
- Experience in operating equipment associated with cleaning is desirable;
- Current National Police Certificate.
