Zitron Australia Pty Ltd is a growing, ventilation fan manufacturing company, suppling industrial fan units to the mining and road tunnel sector, based in the southern suburbs of Perth.

The company is part of a group that operates in over 80 countries on 5 continents. In Australia, the company has supplied the ventilation required for the construction and long-term operation of many of the nation’s major underground transport infrastructure projects.

We are looking to increase our workforce with an enthusiastic and motivated Mechanical Fitter with excellent problem solving abilities as well as interpersonal skills, who are wanting to work in a dynamic and vibrant team environment.

As a valued and respected part of our team your hours will be from Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm in our Hope Valley workshop, with the possibility of overtime as well.

**About the Role**:
The role will be working on various jobs such as fabrication and assembly Axial fans and steel structures.

It also involves working as mechanical fitter supervisor for major infrastructure mining and tunnelling projects in Australia and overseas

**Key Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Supervise site service crew including sub-contractor workers on mine and tunnel ventilation sites
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jack, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and lasers
- Assembling and dismantling machinery or equipment
- Repair and or rebuild of heavy duties industrial equipment
- Assembly and installation of equipment

**To be eligible for the role**:

- At least 5 years’ experience within the infrastructure industries
- Experience working with and performing major maintenance on axial ventilation fans
- Experience performing maintenance and repairs on various pumps, motors, fans, generators and turbines
- Experience performing material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors and torque wrenches
- Diverse mechanical skills acquired with trainings to disassemble and reassemble complex rotating equipment - bolting, hydraulic bolting and flange management

**Salary**: From $36.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Fitter: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)
