Maintenance Handyman

Stella Renovations is a company servicing and Aged Care facilities (Nursing homes) and 1 Public Hospital.

Applicants **MUST** be COVID Vaccinated (3 doses) and have current Police Check (not more than 1 year old) to work in these facilities.

**Skilled Handyman** with Carpentry experience required (building or property maintenance) to work 38 hours week. This position is open to people looking for continuous work. You must be able to arrive by 6.15 am.

**This role does not involve Managing subcontractors. You must have an extensive skillset and have the experience to carry out the work unsupervised.**

**Duties**
- Basic Carpentry, installing doors & locks, installing cabinets, hanging wall fixtures and frames.
- Handyman duties, general maintenance and minor repairs to facilities.
- Cleaning gutters, installing weatherboards, bollards
- Supply labour.
- Basic painting & plastering.
- Rubbish removal, use of Truck and trailer
- Travel to Tip - Waste Woolert
- Bathroom/Kitchen renovations/makeovers
- Complete Work Orders thoroughly, efficiently and on time
- OHS compliant
- Maintain clean work site and Company vehicle at all times
- Collecting material from suppliers (Paint shop, Bunnings, Gyprock)
- Other duties as required

**Culture**:

- 38 per week, however work may be carried out on weekend, after hours or in regional areas (dinner allowance and accommodation if away from home)
- $35 Hourly rate paid weekly
- Company Work Vehicle, Fuel Card and Etag will be provided from factory in Thomastown to work site.
- Company Uniform (T Shirt) provided for Identification within the facility

**Skills and experience**
- Must have Handyman or Maintenance experience
- Must have basic Hand/Power tools
- Must have Driver's license
- Must have current Police Check
- Must have work boots
- Forklift license preferred
- MC Truck license preferred
- Must be able to REVERSE vehicle with confidence
- White Card preferred
- Ability to work alone is paramount
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to take initiative in solving problems.
- Reliability, Honesty and a solid work ethic a must.

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Thomastown, VIC 3074: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
