**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity to work at Box Hill Institute as our Mental Health and Mental Health Peer Work Teacher This opportunity is part time 3 days per week until December 2025.

The Teacher - Mental Health and Mental Health Peer Work provides high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to Box Hill Institute students to:

- Support student success in Mental Health courses
- Provide a positive learning environment; and
- Ensure BHI compliance requirements are met.

The Teacher - Mental Health and Mental Health Peer Work is one of several positions in the Faculty of Health, Community and Animals. The position reports to the Coordinators of Community Service Programs and is responsible for liaising with students, employers, relevant industry groups, service providers, overseas partners and employees of the Box Hill Institute at all levels.

**About You**:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
- Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Mental Health and Mental Health Peer Work, or other transferrable accreditation or study
- Current and sound experience working in mental health and mental health peer work
- Demonstrated ability to develop a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards, including course materials, unit plans and assessment tools
- Experience in student management systems for attendance tracking, retrieval of student details where required and resulting
- Active listening and problem solving with a commitment to professional communications, excellent customer service and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated high level awareness of, and responsiveness to, people from a broad range of diverse backgrounds and emotional contexts
