**Role Description/Criteria**

**The expectations and responsibilities of both Class and Specialist Teachers at St Martin of Tours Primary School Rosanna are as follows**:
Promote and support the Catholic identity and ethos of the school

Provide and promote a happy, safe and positive learning environment

Cater for children’s individual needs and differences and maintain records for NCCD

Provide interesting and stimulating learning environment

Deliver the relevant curriculum in accordance with school policies and whole school shared beliefs and understandings

Ensure adequate planning and preparation in delivering the curriculum

Liaise with curriculum leaders, teachers and LSOs to enrich student learning opportunities

Maintain professional expectations as outlined in the staff handbook including responsibilities such as attending PLMs and Parent/Student/Teacher conferences

Work in partnership with parents through open and professional communication

Adhere to the schools Wellbeing and Behaviour Management policies and procedures

Maintain records of students progress based on continuous assessment and evaluation in accordance with school policies

Participate in regular professional learning activities that are aligned with the Schools Improvement Plan

Adhere to St Martin of Tours Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 870

Carry out other duties delegated by the Principal as required

**Specific responsibilities for the Performing Arts Teacher include**:
Demonstrate a capacity to support school events such as masses, concerts, graduations and sacramental celebrations

Manage specific budgets and resourcing in the area of Performing Arts.
