**Role Description**:
The DER Product Lifecycle Principal is an engaging and collaborative opportunity within our Customer DER team based at our Perth CBD office.

The purpose of this role is to identify and evaluate new opportunities that our new DER (Distributed Energy Resources) products can leverage in the market to improve their commerciality, play program coordination across all new Customer DER products being rolled out as well as help product optimisation to ensure maximum return for customers and Synergy.

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the DER products are able to hit scale with WA customers and are able to find the right value from the WA energy market, paving pathway for the future of DER in WA.

**Job responsibilities**:

- Identify and evaluate new potential business opportunities and strategic partnerships to enhance Synergy’s DER capabilities and improve its DER fleet commerciality.
- Maintain a single view of Customer DER program status report, highlighting budget status, risks, timelines, and objectives.
- Manage internal relationships and coordinate with internal stakeholders on pipeline, development, and upcoming projects, proactively align internal perspectives on technical, customer, financial, regulatory, and policy matters related to DER.
- Manage external stakeholders crucial to the success of Customer DER, including third party aggregators and build relationships to progress and align internal DER priorities.
- Oversee the lifecycle management of DER products, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with industry trends, while working closely with cross-functional teams for successful implementation and ongoing management.

**What you will bring**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a suitable discipline (e.g. Commerce, Management, Project Management) and/or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Stakeholder and customer engagement and the ability to communicate and influence at a high level
- Commercial background with sound business acumen and a high degree of strategic thinking and analytical capability.
- Proven success in leading change activities to completion, creating customer journey maps, user story maps, impact maps and ability to translate strategy to deliver outcomes.
- Understanding of complexities of DER systems and their impact on energy networks.
