Sales/ Spare Parts Interpreter

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our counter staff team. You will require some mechanical knowledge, a basic understanding of engines and power equipment whilst also having competent computer skills.

Henderson Mowers is a leading service centre and retailer both locally and online distributing outdoor power equipment (OPE) all over Australia. We work with high-end brands such as Stihl, Toro, Honda and more catering for both the domestic and commercial scene regarding power equipment.

We are currently looking to hire an experienced front counter spare parts interpreter for our Latrobe location. This individual must have experience selling and interpreting spare parts previously, preferable in outdoor power equipment. The role is not limited to spare parts only and does include a front counter position, stock inventory and general answering of the phones.

A large part of selling OPE is the spare parts and product support we offer for the brands that we sell. We distribute a range of spare parts, both genuine and aftermarket both in-store and online.

You would be part of a spares and sales team that is passionate about their OPE and assisting customers with their OPE enquiries

This role would suit someone who is charismatic, great with customers, has some mechanical aptitude and experienced in spare parts to assist customers with their enquiries and ensure they get exactly what they came for.

The role includes but is not limited to:

- Spare parts interpretation
- Answering phones
- Processing orders
- Packing and dispatching orders
- OPE sales
- Keeping the showrooms and spare parts area clean
- Booking in repairs/ servicing jobs

Details about the position:

- 8:00am - 5:00pm (one day finishing at 3) - during spring we ask you work the overtime
- Rotating Saturday morning roster 8:30am - 1:00pm
- 50-minute lunch break
- 2x 15-minute tea breaks

**Requirements**:

- Able to use computers quickly and efficiently as multiple software platforms need to be navigated through quickly whilst assisting customers.
- Can read and write
- Great customer skills
- Well presented
- Can physically lift boxes and stand on their feet most of the day
- Able to get to and from work

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
