About the role
As the Security Coordinator you will effectively implement targeted safety and security initiatives and ensure the operational delivery of security services within designated WMH facilities across the WMH region, enabling the safe and secure service delivery to staff, patients and visitors.
The Ipswich Hospital Security Coordinator has direct supervision of 27 FTE.
The Park Security Coordinator has direct supervision of 12 FTE.
About you
- Ability to support, manage and advocate for the team, provide leadership, encourage, and promote open communication to develop a professional culture within the team.
- Experience in organisational change management with the ability to lead and guide staff and stakeholders through the various phases and processes of organisational change.
- Highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain professional networks and consult with stakeholders.
- Ability to develop, deliver and manage training requirements to meet organisational and stakeholder needs.
- A commitment to service quality and continuous improvement.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 12/21 and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
- Possession of the following:

- certification Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Tertiary qualifications in security and risk management
- Possession of a current Queensland Security Officer Licence or Certificate III in Security Operations
- Fire Safety Advisor qualification, and/or Certificate in Senior First Aid or higher
