- Head Office Based Role This role is ideal for an experienced Procurement Officer looking to make the next step in their career as a hands on Procurement Manager assisting with nationwide Projects and Head Office resources.

About the Role

- Negotiate national supply agreement with key suppliers to allow project call offs for ancillary items at project level
- Liaise with IT department for uploading and management of supply agreement products onto internal procurement app database to allow projects to order from procurement app
- Drive and deliver optimal value for money purchasing and logistics to support the successful execution of projects
- Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers and issue purchase orders
- Represent the company in interactions with suppliers (local, national, and international)
- Identification, selection, assessment and on-boarding of appropriate suppliers onto the companies supply chain platform
- Performance evaluation and assessment of the supply chain on an ongoing basis
- Create, issue and assess request for quotations through the companies online supply chain portal for both projects and tendering department
- Engage with internal departments and expedite relevant documentation for timely RFQ process, commercial evaluation, and purchase order placement
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement cost
- Manage and maintain monthly reports outlining department activity and ongoing improvements Suitable applicants will ideally possess the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within the Construction Industry
- Experience within the Renewable Energy Industry is desirable
- Solid understanding of the procurement process and knowledge of construction tendering
- Great communication and interpersonal skills both internally and client facing
- Self-motivated to deliver the best possible outcomes and work autonomously
- Ability to prioritise workload efficiently
- Highly analytical with proven ability to assess best value for money
- Strong negotiation and bargaining skills
- A qualification in procurement or supply chain management will be advantageous.
