**Role Description/Criteria**
The successful applicant will have a passion for mathematics and utilise a hands-on approach to learning. They will work well in a team and teach and instill in the students a love of learning and mathematics.
St Mary's Greensborough Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
The successful applicant will be a skilled classroom practitioner with a passion for leadership and Mathematics education, familiar with the Victorian Curriculum, who is able to collaborate with the Mathematics Coach as part of a team working towards improving learning outcomes for all students at St Mary's. An enthusiasm for teaching and an understanding of learning in a contemporary environment is essential.
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Mathematics education, including the use of data and current pedagogical practices.
2. Capacity to translate a broad and contemporary knowledge of Mathematics into learning programs.
3. Developed organisational and time management skills with an ability to work independently and as a team.
4. Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage in ways that values and upholds high expectations of staff and students and that promote learning, growth and success.
5. Demonstrated ability to reflect on one's own practise and commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth in the areas of education, leadership and Mathematics.
Special Requirements
The successful applicant should:
- have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school (is desirable).
- be committed to child safety, to maintaining best practices to ensure this and to ongoing evaluation of these practices
- have read and be committed to maintaining the standards as set out in our Staff Code of Conduct
- have read, and be aware of, the attached role description and employment collection notice
- after having completed the Application for Employment listing three referees including, where applicable your current Principal
- hold a current VIT registration
