Officer, Australia Armytage Childrens Retreat Full time

We are looking for fun and engaging support workers who are comfortable working with individuals with 1:1 support needs that have behaviours of concern to join our growing business.

Armytage Childrens Retreat offer respite (STA) on a small host farm for individuals with special needs, we have recently started branching out into the home care space for our regular participants which has given us a need to expand our wonderful team. We specialise in working with under 18’s, supporting their families to ensure that home life runs as smoothly as possible.

Our main location is in Officer, Victoria and we are looking for staff primarily across the Eastern and South-Eastern Suburbs with a wide range of availability - We operate 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

As a business we strive to match our support workers with our participants to ensure all needs are fulfilled and the highest possible standard of care is adhered to. Staying true to our values we allow participants and their families choice over their support workers to ensure everyone feels comfortable and happy with the care they are receiving.

We are looking for youthful, energetic team members who are always ready to go. Presently we are employing staff on a casual basis however this could change in the future.

**Required Skills**:

- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to plan meals and cook whilst maintaining care for participants
- General cleaning skills, we strive to maintain a clean environment for everyone’s benefit
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- The ability to listen to and follow instructions carefully

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Victorian Drivers Licence and Own Vehicle with Insurance
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Certificate in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Youth Work or similar field.
- Experience working with HIGH Behaviours of Concern

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $24.72 - $52.98 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 38 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
