**Who are we looking for?**
We are seeking a **Team Leader - Project Controls **to lead this new team within the **Tasmanian **region. This senior role focuses on building and strengthening our Project Management business group through the leadership of the Tasmanian Project Controls team and the delivery of projects, and associated technical execution across the Water, Transport, Future Energy, Energy & Resources, Structures & Industry, Environment, and Property and Buildings markets.

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:
- Leading and mentoring a team of project controls staff, providing best practice project controls support to internal project teams and external clients
- Driving business and technical development relating to project services for the Tasmanian team and other business groups
- Providing day-to-day supervision and coaching to the team in line with GHD’s core values and strategy
- Helping teams establish project controls for internal and client projects as appropriate to set projects up for success and enable excellent delivery performance
- Driving best practice across the Tasmanian region in project scheduling, cost control, integrated reporting, scope management, forecasting, and document management.
- Working closely with the Project Management Business Group Leader, leadership group, and client managers to support resourcing and management of workload for the Team
- Assisting in the management of team members throughout the employment lifecycle (Safety/Wellbeing, Recruitment, Onboarding, Remuneration, Performance Planning and Review and Professional Development).
- Working with national teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
**What would you bring to the team?**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or similar, coupled with relevant industry experience, ideally 10+ years.
- Strong stakeholder engagement across multiple industry sectors
- A natural collaborator who is motivated by your team’s success.
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams delivering for both internal and external clients
- Extensive project scheduling experience with contemporary industry standard tools
- Extensive experience with establishment of automated reporting
- Extensive experience with industry standard cost tracking and reporting methodologies.
- Experience with a range of risk analysis techniques is desirable
