Owned and Operated by Yancoal Australia, Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is one of the largest open pit operations in the area. Located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, MTW relies on both draglines and load haul systems as the current and preferred mining method. Our site operates continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week and has a long and proud history, employing approximately 1350 people from local and surrounding communities, who are our most valuable asset.

**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Yancoal Mount Thorley Warkworth are seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Dispatcher. We are looking for safety focused, highly motivated individuals, with great communication and organisational skills.
- The role of Dispatch is responsible for:
- Managing and allocating mining equipment to ensure it is safe, productive and compliant with the operational plan;
- Ensuring integrity and accuracy of all captured data within the fleet management system;
- Effectively communicating with key stakeholders to ensure efficient operation during the shift;
- Monitoring and troubleshooting any problems with the fleet management system on a shift to shift basis;
- Lead by demonstrating behaviour that supports and meets the safety and productive standards of Yancoal;
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the mining method by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.

**Skills and Experience**:
This position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is a self-motivated team player with well-developed problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing work priorities in a busy operations environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of large mining fleets in an Open Cut Coal Mine;
- Experience in the use of Modular Dispatch system;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill supported by proven leadership and team membership skills;
- A proven track record with regard safe and productive practices in the area of fleet management; and
- A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to work unsupervised and display flexibility.
