**Primary role**:Providing regular, compassionate support to a mature female client living in Miami QLD

**Hours**:Flexible: 1-4 days per week available, between the approximate hours of 10am-4pm.

**Responsibilities and Duties include**:

- One-to-one direct care assistance in the client’s home and in the community including assistance with personal care, meal preparation, domestic duties and transport.
- Passion, empathy and commitment to providing the best care for the client.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness, ensuring that support is respectful of client’s cultural, linguistic, and religious background.
- Reporting to manager and keeping records as required.
- Patience in supporting the client at their own pace, ensuring a supportive and encouraging environment.
- Commitment to ethical behaviour and confidentiality, ensuring the dignity and privacy of the client are always respected.

**Essential criteria**:

- Certificate III in Disability Work or relevant formal or lived experience.
- Genuine desire to have a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Driver’s license, own car and comprehensive insurance.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and regulate one’s emotions, particularly in high-stress situations, while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
- Current First aid and CPR.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Police Check or willingness to obtain.
- NDIS Worker Online Modules (all) or willingness to obtain.

**Desirable crieria**:

- Knowledge of/experience in ADHD, PTSD, OCD, ASD.
- Knowledge of/experience in counselling.
- Knowledge of/experience in pilates, physiotherapy, exercise science, massage.
- Previous experience supporting an individual with challenging behaviours.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.88 - $43.23 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 32 per week
