BAKED started as a small bakery cafe in 2014, creating ethical and delicious gluten free bread for Hobart to enjoy. In the last 9 years we have expanded rapidly and want you to be part of our future growth. you will be responsible for working with the bakery and production team to deliver high quality gluten free baked goods.
We are looking for a Baker Supervisor to lead and support the small Bakery team in achieving production and quality goals.
This role requires a passionate team member who loves what they do and enjoys sharing their knowledge and skills with others.
We are looking for a Baker who has a keen eye for detail and wants to take the next step in their career. We need a creative and flexible person, who is passionate about presentation, quality of product and has all-round attention to detail. You will also have strong leadership skills, be driven, a developed sense of initiative and ability to make excellent decisions. You are flexible and have a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team.
**YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**:
- Experience with and a wide knowledge of pastry, baked goods and bread is desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
- The ability to follow direction and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Able to adapt to and work effectively within a variety of changing situations.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a bakery.
- Ability to handle and resolve conflict.
**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Overseeing the smooth running of the bakery, including set up, pack down troubleshooting and cleaning schedules
- Providing leadership and direction to the Bakery team, developing them through ongoing training and coaching
- Managing quality control and ensuring all procedures are followed in mixing and production
- Assisting the production team and other teams as required
- Responsible for delivering high quality baked goods and following from scratch recipes.
- Working closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop a well-rounded and passionate team.
- Help train and manage staff.
- Providing teams with a positive and supportive workplace.
- Maintaining and building on our strong team culture.
- Ordering, receiving and storing goods.
- Always enforcing proper food handling and safety regulations.
- Working on and understanding bakery KPIs set by management
- Weekend work is required.
- Early morning shift work is requierd
- Full Australian drivers licesence

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
