Cherbourg State School is situated in the Aboriginal Community of Cherbourg (pop 3,500), in the beautiful South Burnett, a peanut growing and wine-producing area on the Great Dividing Range, north of the Darling Downs. The town is a 5 - 10 minutes drive from the town of Murgon, and just 100 kms from the beautiful Bunya Mountains, where you can explore the extensive range of walking trails, hand feed colourful native birds and soak up the panoramic mountain views.
At Cherbourg State School we believe in developing the potential of each individual child. A team of dedicated teachers and leadership along with committed support staff, deliver community responsive quality education for students from pre-prep to year 6, in an inclusive environment focused on successful learning for every child.
