Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Field Technician to join our growing company.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Huntingwood, NSW

Reporting Line: State Field Delivery Manager

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be primarily responsible for Surveying and removal of OPTUS HFC Network. You will also be responsible for the following:

- Installation/removal of service drop cables
- Working off ladders
- Surveying of telecommunications network identifying hazards and rectifying where possible from a ladder or escalating for additional resource support.
- Responding to network faults/hazard (Remove/Make safe network cables)
- Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis.
- Communicate/report on scheduled works changes or to Field Supervisor.
- Participate of actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities)
- Works in coordination with related 3rd parties such as landowners and regulatory authorities (e.g., power utility, council & transport).

About You
- Hold a current Driver’s license.
- Construction OH&S Induction Card
- Experience in an Infrastructure Services environment.
- Experience in the Telecommunications industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to respond calmly and decisively during a major incident or emergency.
- Ability to work autonomously within teams.
