- Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.**About the Department of Geriatric Medicine**
- We have expanded to include 12 geriatricians, and up to 7 accredited advanced trainee in geriatric medicine
- We are a friendly and collegial bunch of geriatricians, with strong focus on patient-centred care to ensure that personal, connected, safe, and effective care is delivered
- We provide a supportive working environment for our junior and senior medical staff

**Are you a Specialist Geriatrician looking to work in the Geelong region?**
- Do you have the following qualifications? If so, this may be the opportunity for you
- A basic medical degree, registrable as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with specialist training in geriatric medicine
- We are currently undergoing organisational restructuring and refining our geriatric medicine service to better serve the community in the Greater Geelong region. It will give you the opportunity and experience in developing and refining the Geriatric Medicine Service.

**About the role**
- Temporary part-time parental leave cover
- Provide specialist clinical care within Geriatric Medicine, and may involve rotation to different programs of Geriatric Medicine
- Poses an ability to work within a small team whilst liaising effectively with the broader geriatric services team and other areas of Barwon Health
- Participate in teaching and education of Deakin University medical student, junior medical staff including geriatric medicine advanced trainee, and nursing staff
- Participate in the departmental quality and safety activities, and service development initiatives
