This includes making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process and employee lifecycle.About Gympie Special SchoolGympie Special School provides quality learning programs for students with an intellectual impairment, from Prep through to Year 12, who require an individualised program to meet their specific learning needs.The school is divided into four sectors: Early Years Primary: Prep - Year 2, Primary: Year 3 -Year 6, Secondary: Year 7 - Year 10, and Senior Secondary: Year 11-12. The Australian Curriculum is taught through a range of age-appropriate learning opportunities. Adjustments to the curriculum are identified through an Individual Curriculum Plan for students in Prep to Year 10. In Years 11 and 12, we specifically cater for Senior Students through Queensland Curriculum Assessment Authority (QCAA) processes to ensure students work towards achieving a Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA). We are committed to our students' learning and demonstrate this by providing a curriculum that offers high quality and high equity education.
- Capacity to lead and collaboratively develop curriculum plans that align with Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum for students with disability.
- Demonstrated capacity to develop and manage interpersonal relationships and establish productive partnerships to support teachers with the following:

- Embedding high impact teaching strategies and research based pedagogical practices.
- Building curriculum leadership of teachers.
- A good understanding of data and how best to utilise this to enact the best possible outcomes for students.
- Case management.
**About the Role**: The successful applicant will require a thorough understanding of the Australian Curriculum and the effective use of data to inform teaching and learning.
**Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:
- Lead the whole of school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educations vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Lead the effective and consistent implementation of high-yield reading pedagogies across the school, inclusive of, but not limited to, coaching, modelling, co-teaching, observing practice and providing feedback and support.
- Build the capacity of all educators in the effective, inclusive and robust delivery of the Australian Curriculum to improve learning outcomes for all students.
- Engage staff in intentional collaboration around the rigorous delivery and implementation of the Australian Curriculum V9.
