About Us

Located in Sydney’s prestigious Lower North Shore, The Albert Hotel is Mosman’s only boutique hotel. As our hotel continues to welcome travellers from across the globe, we are seeking an experienced and professional Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming presence during our afternoon and overnight shifts.

About the Role

You wll be the face of The Albert during the quieter hours - playing a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, smooth, and gracious guest experience. You will handle check-ins, resolve guest inquiries, and ensure the hotel operates efficiently overnight.

Shifts required:

- Afternoon: Typically 4:00pm - 10:00pm
- Overnight: 10:00pm - 7:00am (including weekends and public holidays)

Your Responsibilities
- Welcome late-arriving guests with genuine warmth and professionalism
- Oversee check-ins, late check-outs, and room change requests
- Reconcile end-of-day transactions and prepare operational reports
- Handle guest complaints or incidents with patience and discretion
- Maintain a safe, quiet, and well-presented lobby environment
- Provide food and beverages selected by guests from our set Day-Menu with efficiency and attention to presentation

What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a front desk or overnight hotel role
- Fluent written and spoken English with outstanding communication skills
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Impeccable attention to detail, especially when handling transactions and reporting
- Confident in handling emergency or late-night situations professionally
- Strong computer literacy; including Hotel Property Management software experience
- RSA certificate or willingness to obtain
- Food Handlers (Basic) Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Flexibility to regularly work overnight and late evening shifts
