**Band 1 - $36.08 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)**

**The Opportunity**

Opportunity to provide safe and efficient school crossing supervision at designated school crossings within the City of Hobsons Bay.

School crossings are supervised each morning and afternoon for periods of up to 1 hour, typically between 8am to 9am and between 3pm to 4pm.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform the functions of a school crossing supervisor to ensure the safety of the school children and pedestrians using the crossing whilst maintain vehicle traffic flow.

School Crossing Supervisors will be initially offered relieving work across multiple school crossing locations. When a regular appointment to a single school crossing location becomes available, Relief School Crossing Supervisors may be offered the opportunity of placement at the single school crossing location.

School Crossing Supervisors may also be requested to rotate across the designated school crossings within the City of Hobsons Bay.

***About You**
- Understanding of the Victorian Road Rules.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with school children and the wider community.
- Experience in dealing directly with school children and school teachers.
- Current Victorian Drivers License desirable.
- Current and satisfactory Working with Children Check.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police check and physical assessment.
- Previous school crossing experience is not essential, as successful applicants will receive on-the-job training.
- It is desirable that applicants are available Monday to Friday during school terms.
