Wentworth Healthcare is the provider of the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network.

Wentworth Healthcare work to improve health for the communities of Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith. They work by supporting general practice, funding (or commissioning) local health services, and integrating care from the local health system.

**About the role**:
The Manager - Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, Alcohol and Other Drugs Commissioning provides strategic leadership and oversight to a team of 6 direct reports. You will also be responsible for:

- Partnerships and collaboration with a variety of committees and external stakeholders, and engaging them with the organisation’s practices
- Maintaining close contact with Senior Management and the Executive Team and working collaboratively with other internal teams to produce community-focused outcomes.
- Commissioning of new mental health, suicide prevention, alcohol and other drugs support services.
- Ongoing contract management of current commissioned provider organisations
- Leading regional planning to achieve better integrated mental health services within a stepped-care model
- Lead planning and assessment of appropriate models of care and support team members with oversight of commissioned provider organisations delivering the services.
- Engaging in the compliance and reporting requirements

**A bit about you**:
To succeed in the role, you will be a natural and empathetic communicator, with strong experience in people management. You will also have:

- Experience working within the Mental Health, Suicide Prevention or AOD space
- A bachelor’s degree in Health, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Management or related field to perform duties.
- 5+ years’ experience in People Management with demonstrated experience leading teams to achieve outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and ability to successfully develop key stakeholder partnerships and engage with a wide range of people from diverse organisational backgrounds.
- Excellent organisational and administration skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
- A current national police check
