Help lead major mental health reform in Victoria to ensure that everyone is supported.
In this role you will be part of the launch of one of the first of 60 Mental Health Locals in Victoria.

This local support is a key recommendation of the recent Royal Commission into Victoria’s mental health system and promises to make our community a better place to live.

**The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local**

Wellways, Mentis Assist and Peninsula Health are working together to provide mental health and wellbeing supports in Frankston to ensure everyone can access treatment and care closer to home.
The new Frankston Mental Health Local will provide welcoming and inclusive support for people aged 26 years and over who are experiencing mental health challenges, including people with co-occurring alcohol and drug addiction treatment and care needs.
We are working with the local community and people who have a personal experience of mental health issues and recovery to build these services so they are the best they can be. Our services will be led by lived experience and coproduced with the local community so they are the best they can be.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Senior Neuropsychologist Peninsula Health, the Clinical Neuropsychologist will be available to provide specialist neuropsychological services, including comprehensive neuropsychological assessment, consultation, education, support and appropriate interventions to inform/advise management and treatment, and contribute to the recovery of adults experiencing a mental illness or psychological distress. The Clinical Neuropsychologist will participate in a quality process and develop effective and fruitful partnerships with other team members and staff from a range of disciplines within his/her designated areas of responsibility.

**About you**
- Master or doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
- Current APHRA Registration
- General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Endorsement (or working towards endorsement)as a Neuropsychologist under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009.

**About the Role**
- Experience in working in diagnostic settings
- Ability to work autonomously, flexibly and conjointly with staff from other disciplines as part of a client focused multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated experience and competence in completing neuropsychological assessments targeted towards referral question, with appropriate clinical formulations, as well as succinct and concise report-writing
- Demonstrated experience in working with referrals requesting assessment of decision making capacity (medical, personal, and/or financial)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated organisational ability in time and caseload management
- A sound understanding of the legal issues and compliance with Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics
