**GreenCorp Property Services is looking for a full time day Caretaker / Cleaner for a brand new high rise residential development in Hawthorn**.

They will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the common areas in a group of residential buildings.

**Timing**:

- Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
- 8am to 4pm (8hrs per day)
- Start Date 29 Jan (TBC)

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cleaning and Maintenance: (as per scope that will be provided)**
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairwells and bike rooms.
- Clean and sanitise lifts, handrails and door handles.
- Empty rubbish and replace liners in common areas, maintain bin rooms.
- Spot clean windows, glass doors and other glass surfaces.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces such as tables, benches and mailboxes, maintain BBQ’s.
- Pick up any loose rubbish from external areas, including garden beds
- Monitor bin chute operations, ensuring chutes are safely kept free of obstructions.

**General Upkeep**:

- Monitor the condition of the building's common areas and report any maintenance issues (e.g. broken lights, leaks, breakages) to the GreenCorp Supervisor
- Maintain and manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are used and stored safely.

**Contractor Liaison**:

- Coordinate with contractors for building works, including waste management, plumbing, electrical works and bin chute cleaning
- Ensure contractors complete their work to the required standards and within agreed timelines.
- Report any issues or delays to the GreenCorp Supervisor.

**Communication and Customer Service**:

- Interact professionally and courteously with residents, addressing their concerns and providing assistance as needed.
- Provide assistance with the coordination of residents moving in and out of tenancies (including lift curtain installation)
- Communicate effectively with the GreenCorp Supervisor regarding any issues or requirements.

**Qualifications**:
**Experience**:

- Previous experience in cleaning or caretaking.
- Experience in working with trade contractors is an advantage.

**Skills**:

- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with contractors and residents.
- Good trouble shooter

Pay: $949.00 per week
