IT Technician

As an IT Technician at Lumination you will take responsibility for the support of our immersive virtual reality Lumination Learning Labs at our client sites across SA, including providing technical assistance and advice throughout the support process.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you’ll juggle multiple tickets and support priorities, overcome challenges and ensure our clients have a fully supported Learning Lab and a world-class customer experience.

**A day on the job will see you**:

- Liaise directly with clients to diagnose technical issues and provide suitable and timely solutions
- Effectively manage your time to deliver friendly and knowledgeable customer support experiences to a range of clients
- Build custom immersive and PC solutions to a variety of client specifications
- Recommend suitable hardware and software solutions based on industry experience
- Support the internal team by providing new tools, support and training
- Staying up to date on the latest developments in technology
- Develop solutions to enhance the internal-user and customer experience with ever-evolving technologies

**To impress us you’ll need to**
- Previous experience in a technical IT role
- Diploma in IT (bachelor preferred)
- Ability to diagnose technical issues remotely and troubleshoot effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be passionate about using immersive technologies to solve customer problems
- In-depth knowledge of computing systems/programs (Windows/Mac/G suite)
- Experience in building custom end-user solutions (PCs and associated hardware)
- Sound knowledge of security protocols to protect users and maintain privacy
- A demonstrated ability to learn new skills and problem-solve quickly
- Knowledge of AV integration - preferred
- Industry certifications - highly desirable
