- Hours: 6:30am to 3pm, monthly RDO
**The Position**
Serco have the privilege of maintaining some of Melbourne’s most iconic Parks & Gardens. We have an opportunity to join the team as a Nursery Attendant responsible for ensuring our nursery is meeting all contractual requirements with respect to the number, health, and variety of plants.
You will also support the team interchanging floral displays in the Conservatory - The Conservatory houses magnificent indoor floral displays that are changed 5 times each year. Hydrangeas and fuchsias bloom from November to February, begonias, and gloxinias from February to April, tropical plants and poinsettias from April to July, cineraria and cyclamens from July to September and schizanthus and calceolaria from September to November.
As a key member of Horticulture Team, you effectively deliver high quality services and adopt a solution focussed approach. You hold the ethos: Your work is never too urgent or important that you cannot take the time to do it safely. You demonstrate a proactive work ethic and remain calm in uncertain or challenging situations. You’re a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional values in everything you do.
**About You**
You will be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for horticulture. You will enjoy interacting with a variety of people including the public while maintaining a professional, safe and responsible manner at all times.

- Relevant qualification in Horticulture
- Demonstrated experience working in a nursery environment, with strong skill set in displaying plant material
