Disability Support Worker

Burleigh Heads, Australia National Disability Support and Care (NDSC) Full time

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct support and care to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Help individuals with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings
- Assist with medication administration and monitoring
- Document and maintain accurate records of individual progress and any incidents or changes in behavior
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans

**Requirements**:

- Certificate III in Disability Care, Community Care, Aged Care or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient care
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transportation of individuals (if required)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- NDIS Worker Screening Card
- Working Rights in Australia
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Police Clearance

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Travel reimbursement

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

**Language**:
