Maintenance Officer

Opportunity

The team at Taara Gardens Retirement Village are seeking a permanent part time maintenance officer to attend to day-to-day maintenance around the village.

This is a permanent part time role, 19 hours per week,

․ Mondays: 7:00am - 3:00pm

․ Wednesdays: 8:30am - 12:30pm

․ Fridays: 7:am-3:00pm

Day to Day Tasks

․ Respond to maintenance requests in an efficient manner

․ Minor building repair works to building fixtures

․ Maintenance of gardens, lawns, and grounds from time to time

․ Assist residents with minor maintenance works such as light globes, broken fly screens, minor lock repairs

․ Changing out IP Dialers where required

․ Computer skills; knowledge of preventative maintenance advantageous

․ Liaise with contractors including providing access and supervising when necessary

․ Setting up and taking down for special functions
- such as Village BBQ or morning tea

․ Assist with safety inspections and light cleaning

․Other duties as directed by the Manager

․ LR Drivers licence required as some driving of the village bus may be required
