**The Role and Responsibilities**
- Tutoring 1 on 1 classes
- Understanding the current High School English Curriculum (NSW)
- Ability to prepare lessons tailored to each individual student (lesson material available and ready to use)
- Creating a plan for each student to achieve their best potential
- Providing students with feedback during and, if necessary, after the lesson
- Providing parents with updates on their child's progress if needed
- Note: a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is compulsory for this role._
- Flexibility to work after school hours (Mon-Fri) and/or Saturdays
- Willingness to teach primary classes (English/Mathematics) if needed
- University students pursuing a career in the education field or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of literacy skills required to teach High School English
- Ability to maintain and build professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and parents in a timely manner
