The Role

We are seeking 2 x Assistant in Nursing to efficiently support the Orthopaedic Institute of Macquarie University Hospital and join us on a permanent part time (0.5 FTE) basis. In this role, you will support registered nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering essential care to patients. Your role is key in pivotal in providing care and comfort for patients in their daily living activities and assisting them in meeting their basic human needs.

Previous experience is desirable; however, teaching and training opportunities are available for staff with the right attitude and aptitude.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1 page cover letter.- Relevant experience within the private health sector. Knowledge and experience in the Orthopaedics surgical ward is desirable- Demonstrated sound verbal and written communication skills and ability to build rapport and empathise with patients- Demonstrated commitment to high level of customer service always delivered in a professional manner- Good knowledge of basic nursing care including performing and recording full set of clinical observations, performing ECGs, assisting patients with personal hygiene requirements.- Demonstrate enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to problem solving- Ability to work effectively as part of a team- Commitment to uphold and be a steward of the Mission, Vision and Values of MQ
