Supporting Abilities for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join the team, located throughout South-East Melbourne.
- 52-year-old participant.
- St Kilda/Balaclava location.
- Friday mornings (time to be confirmed) and possibility of every second Thursday morning (time to be confirmed).
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), major depression, bipolar, personality disorder, eating disorder, gender identity diagnosis.
- Female support workers only.**:

- *Client request* Specifically requesting a female support worker who is LGBTQIA+ friendly and informed, and who identifies as a lesbian.** This is non-negotiable. Application code word - Duck.
- Mental health experience mandatory.
- Tasks include: - Community access: going out for a walk, coffee, shopping/groceries, to the movies, window shopping at shopping centres, etc. - Finding courses and goal setting for future goals. - In-home support: Help with tasks around the house. - Support with mental health. - Help with advocacy. - Help attending/support at appointments/meetings.
- Subject to meet and greet.

We are looking for competent, enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills and ethics to prioritise the care of our clients.

**Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain)**:

- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants
