Based at our manufacturing site at Botany the role of Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day functionality of the Kellogg Manufacturing plant from an electrical and instrumentation perspective. Supporting the shift with their technical expertise and experience. You will play an important role in ensuring we deliver our well-loved cereals to Australian & New Zealand consumers

More specifically you will be involved in:_**
- First point of contact for all electrical issues on shift, responsible for organising and implementing all repairs. Required to direct and supervise contractor support resources on a daily basis.
- Maintaining functionality of the plant from an electrical and instrumentation perspective to improve operability, reliability and availability of equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and eliminate causes of machine downtime responding to breakdowns to minimise production disruption. Escalating issues as required in accordance to procedure.
- Monitoring equipment efficiency, supporting Production Managers in handover meetings and making an assessment on electrical priorities for each shift.
- Work with Engineering to identify and design equipment improvement modifications to reduce downtime and waste. Provide advice as electrical expert on shift.
- Completing preventative maintenance activities as per schedule to improve plant reliability, reporting results to Maintenance and Production management.
- Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, including KWS processes, auditing quality of work against standards.
- Ensure that all electrical work adheres to regulatory compliance requirements ie GMP, HACCP, EHS.

Skills, experience & attributes sought:_**
- Licensed electrician (essential requirement)
- Significant industrial experience
- Ability to work independently and direct support resources effectively
- Instrument trade experience and post trade courses ie Allen Bradley and Schneider PLC’s as well as AC/DC drives
- Agility and responsiveness to changing priorities
**This role involves shift work 7:00pm - 7:00am on a rolling shift basis (7 day fortnight) which will involve working weekends and public holidays.**
