A new opportunity exists for a Road Designer based at our Sydney office.

As a Road Designer, you will be responsible for the production and documentation of technical drawings and ensuring drawings are coordinated and completed in accordance with standards, quality & time requirements. You will be required to work to instructions and to co-ordinate your work effectively with other Drafters, Designers, Engineers and Project Managers.

Key to the role of a Road Designer, you will be providing leadership and support to project drafting teams from both local, regional and global resources, including assisting in training and QA and quality control checking of their work to ensure that it meets the project and client expectations. You will have a passion and drive for digital engineering and how this relates to the production of project deliverables. You will be a key contributor to how design and documentation integrates digitally, guiding teams through the management of digital information and digital reviews. You will participate and engage with the wider Digital Delivery Teams to ensure a consistent digital approach is taken across projects. #APMETransport #ANZTransport #ANZRoads #LI-NN1

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Demonstrated understanding of the design process, co-ordination of work with other design disciplines and the efficient management and delivery of projects within budget, program and quality constraints
- Multi skilled in the use of design software including AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Ability to manage a small team of drafters remotely - Decision making - identifies issues, problems and opportunities & chooses appropriate action
- Maintain high work standards, minimise errors and attention to detail - Work co-operatively and respect others’ opinions to achieve team objectives
- Ability to perform steadily during peak workload and remain calm under pressure
