**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' health status, medical history, and fitness levels.
- Develop individualized exercise prescriptions and rehabilitation plans based on clients' specific needs, goals, and medical conditions, with a focus on chronic disease management, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, and disability management.
- Implement exercise programs using a variety of modalities, including land-based exercises, hydrotherapy sessions, and functional movement training, to improve strength, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, and overall functional capacity.
- Monitor clients' progress, adjust exercise prescriptions as needed, and provide ongoing support and motivation to ensure adherence to treatment plans.
- Educate clients about the benefits of exercise, proper technique, injury prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications to optimize their health outcomes and enhance their quality of life.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals, to coordinate care and ensure integrated treatment approaches for clients with complex medical needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with healthcare providers in compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality requirements.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in the fields of exercise physiology, chronic disease management, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, and disability management, and integrate this knowledge into clinical practice.
- Participate in professional development activities, such as continuing education courses, conferences, and workshops, to enhance clinical skills and stay abreast of emerging trends in the field.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Exercise Physiology
- Certification and accreditation from ESSA is required.
- Previous experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in chronic disease management, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, or disability management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients, motivate behaviour change, and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to maintaining professional competence through ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards of practice.
- Current CPR/AED certification is required.
