We are expanding our team and looking for **experienced Disability Support Workers who have worked with individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease**.

**About the Role**

As a **Disability Support Worker**, you will **provide safe and reliable school and allied health transportation** for our client, ensuring punctuality, comfort, and dignity throughout the journey. Your responsibilities will include assisting our client in and out of the vehicle, maintaining a respectful and supportive environment during transit, and **keeping your vehicle clean, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards**. You will also adhere to NDIS compliance, safety policies, and person-centered care principles.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide safe and reliable **school and allied health transportation** for individuals, ensuring punctuality and comfort.
- Assist passengers with getting in and out of the vehicle as needed, maintaining dignity and safety at all times.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept **clean, well-maintained, and compliant** with safety requirements.
- Support clients during transit by offering a friendly and respectful environment.
- Communicate effectively with families, schools, and allied health professionals regarding schedules or changes.
- Adhere to NDIS compliance, safety policies, and person-centered care principles.

**Requirements**:
✔ **Minimum Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care** (or equivalent).
✔ **Previous experience supporting individuals with Parkinson’s Disease** (essential).
✔ Knowledge of **mobility aids, fall prevention strategies, and Parkinson’s-related care needs**.
✔ **NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check** (or willing to obtain).
✔ **First Aid & CPR Certification** (or willing to obtain).
✔ **Manual Handling, Medication Administration, and Parkinson’s Disease-specific training** (preferred).
✔ **Driver’s License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle** (preferred but not essential).
✔ Strong **communication, patience, and a person-centered approach**.
