We lead work to deliver more quality social housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW, empowering our tenants to live fulfilling lives and achieve their potential in inclusive communities with a focus on breaking, rather than managing disadvantage.
We strive for excellence in service delivery and most importantly, Homes NSW puts people at the heart - including our staff. Working for us means you are joining a team where your expertise and skills will be valued.
The Local Community Engagement Team is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and dialogue between Housing Portfolio and local communities through proactive management of community engagement activities, to promote collaboration, inclusivity, and positive outcomes.

Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with the broader Portfolio Management (Assets) Engagement teams to ensure a coordinated approach to government and senior stakeholder relationships, media, issues management and marketing. You will also provide operational support to ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner, including identifying opportunities associated with community engagements, monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, and managing the implementation of strategies that effectively manage project risks.
Building and nurturing solid relationships with a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders is paramount, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes and fostering their involvement in project activities.
Additionally, you will provide ad-hoc assistance to Engagement Officers in supporting the oversight of the preparation, production, and dissemination of public information across various platforms, liaising with other divisional functional areas and external agencies as required. Furthermore, you will provide operational support by helping monitor and evaluate communication activities undertaken by contractors, ensuring compliance with Housing Portfolio objectives and the strategic communications program.
