Drug Health Services Women’s Therapeutic Day Program is seeking applicants for a newly created position of Care and Recovery Co-Ordination Clinician. If you like variety and are passionate about working with women to provide Alcohol and other Drug support this role will enable you to build on your clinical skills.

The role requires a highly skilled Care and Recovery Co-Ordination Clinician to work as a member of a small multidisciplinary team incorporating a feminist framework empowering women to make informed and positive lifestyle changes. The team works collaboratively to offer a therapeutic environment for women to explore, understand and make changes to their identified substance use.

The Care and Recovery Co-Ordination Clinician will play a pivotal role working with team members in supporting women at all stages in their treatment journey. The role will provide high quality engagement, assessment, treatment and support services to women and their families during the course of their AOD treatment plan.

In this role you will work with each woman in the program to identify services that will be beneficial, initiating referrals so that linkages can be facilitated to improve recovery pathways for women. Additionally the position will establish strong community connections working in collaboration with stakeholders to assist women in achieving their identified treatment goals offering outreach support if required.

The Care and Recovery Co-Ordination Clinician will also assist women with discharge planning and on completion of the program by contacting at regular intervals to ensure continuity of care to enhance positive treatment outcomes.

The position for full time fixed term for 12 months
