Defence and Security Administrator

Based in the Research and Enterprise Unit at the Mawson Lakes campus
- Full-time, continuing position
- Commencement Salary: $73,341 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

**About the Role**

The Defence and Security Administrator will provide high level administrative support in implementing and maintaining current security policies and procedures that relate to the evolving and complex field of Defence and Space Research across UniSA.

The position works closely with the Defence and National Security Officer (DNSO) to implement and maintain appropriate management, governance, and risk framework strategies to ensure the universitys compliance with defence industry security requirements across governance, personal security, physical security, and information/cyber security disciplines.

- Chief Academic Services Officer
- Pro Vice Chancellor: Aboriginal Leadership and Strategy; and their support staff.

The principal role of Chancellery is to support the efficient and effective transmission of information to and from the University’s senior management and senior governing bodies to individuals and groups within and beyond the University’s community.

The Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Research & Enterprise provides support and has overall responsibility for managing the University’s strategic research and enterprise agenda and the implementation of the Academic Enterprise Plan. Functions within the Research and Enterprise Portfolio include the UniSA Enterprise Hub TM, Research and Innovation Services and Industry Engagement.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Make key contributions for shaping the security culture in the Defence and Space Research area and in continuing to build an outstanding Uni-wide security culture
- Provide high level administrative support in successful implementation and execution of the UniSA’s defence security and compliance strategy
- Provide timely and effective assistance with security risk assessments and security incident reporting to ensure the universitys membership of the DISP is maintained relevant to the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
- Assist the DNSO to ensure DISP compliance requirements
- Foster and maintain strong networks with key stakeholders and organisations to maintain a corporate awareness of the security environment

**Essential Skills and Experience
- Relevant post-secondary qualification, and/or demonstrated significant equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience
- Eligibility to hold and maintain a security clearance - Negative Vetting level 1.
- Demonstrated relevant administrative experience in support of organisational governance and compliance
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience working effectively with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation
- High degree of initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to instigate and undertake tasks with mínimal supervision
