**About the Centre**

Our facility features a six lane, 33 metre lap pool together with a toddler's pool, We're set amongst greenery with plenty of grassed areas for families and groups of all sizes to enjoy.

**About the Role**

As a Lifeguard at the Poowong Outdoor Pool, you’ll help provide a safe swimming environment for all centre visitors. You’ll be patient, focused and friendly to keep pool-users informed and safe. Duties of the role include:

- Supervising a large aquatic space while pro-actively ensuring a safe environment in and around the pool area
- Maintaining concentrated observation of pools and patrons to anticipate and respond to problems
- Ensuring facility rules are being obeyed whilst at the same time educating facility users about safe aquatic practices
- Carrying out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patrons, the facility and equipment

This is a casual position with an hourly rate up to $33.37 + Super.

**About You**
- Ability to make decisions while under pressure
- Being able to manage conflicts with patrons and users
- Ability to stay alert and vigilant in a repetitive work environment
- Ability to multitask
- Providing excellent customer service for all members and guests
- Experience in the Aquatics and Leisure industry will be highly regarded

**Essential Qualifications**
- Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- funding may be available
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
