PHARMACY DISPENSARY ASSISTANT

Amcal Pharmacy Kings Cross have an exciting career opportunities for a part-time/ casual Pharmacy dispensary assistant.

The position will include up to 2 -3 shifts each week. You must be available for any shift Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am - 9pm with the ability to work weekends when required.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in healthcare services, who is enthusiastic, committed and motivated, with a passion for excellent customer service.

**Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications**

**Must have or be willing to obtain**: The Pharmacy Guild of Australia SIRCIND002 - Support the Supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacist Only Medicines Statement of Attainment.

**Must have or be willing to obtain**: First Aid & C.P.R Certification

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Support and assist the pharmacist in dispensing in an accurate and timely manner
- Receive and hand out prescriptions efficiently, communicating patient needs to the pharmacist effectively
- Coordinating and preparing dosing administration aids (DAA)
- Assist in delivering pharmacy healthcare services
- Ordering and management of dispensary stock
- Coordinate pharmacy deliveries
- Provide patients with health care solutions
- Give advice on over the counter medications
- Assist in daily stock replenishment and merchandising
- Customer service & Cashier processing
- Visual merchandising
- Store presentation & Cleaning

**Required Skills**:

- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work in a busy community pharmacy
- Good communication skills
- Prior customer service experience
- Strong work ethic
- Eye for detail and accuracy
- Be able to work both independently and within a team
- Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong multi-tasking ability
- FRED dispense experience preferred, but not necessary
- Applicants with previous pharmacy assistant experience will be highly regard but not essential.
- MUST complete pre-screening questions. Applicants that do not complete these question will no be considered for the position
