**The Role**
The Command Safety Advisor (CSA) role is critical to assisting HMAS Moreton meet its Work Health and Safety obligations; including Work Health and Safety governance. They will regularly undertake research and analysis of WHS data, and conduct reviews and assessments to improve health and safety outcomes across the establishment.

The incumbent will have good attention to detail and be able to provide practical Work Health and Safety expertise based on legislation, policy and procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining records and sharing information including the delivery of WHS presentations. They will also be responsible for ensuring Defence capability through liaison with key maintenance and project delivery organisations such as Security and Estate Group.

**About our Team**
HMAS Moreton as a part of Fleet Command is principally responsible for all Navy operations in South East Queensland. HMAS Moreton is based in the suburb of Bulimba in Brisbane with responsibilities for Naval personnel within the region, Defence facilities, visiting Navy vessels and ceremonial commitments within the community. - Excellent understanding of relevant WHS legislation and policy frameworks
- Ability to seek, interpret and provide advice on complex WHS issues.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Able to proactively engage with a range of key stakeholders to develop, document and improve processes, optimise outcomes and ensure the delivery of high-quality corporate governance.
- Excellent time management skills and able to prioritise competing requirements in a highly dynamic environment.
- Ability to proactively problem solve through analysis of alternative courses of action and their implications.
- Be self-motivated.
