**The Opportunity**

The Armament Maintenance Engineer (Progressive) is responsible for the maintenance and modification of FA18 Weapons and Egress systems and associated equipment within the scope of their applicable training, competency and task authorisation. Additionally, employment in the Weapons/Egress trade may involve the handling of explosive ordnance.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are conducted and recorded IAW approved Aircraft
Maintenance Documentation processes and procedures.
- Ensuring Tradespersons do not proceed past inspection check points until inspected.
- Assess, monitor and advise Management of environmental, human and operational factors that may potentially adversely affect technical airworthiness, and seek advice on subsequent reporting requirements.

**Experience/ Qualifications**
- Able to meet the intent of DEF (AUST) 9022
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionic), or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 5 years aviation experience in maintenance of aircraft and has at least 2 years experience as a fully qualified trade supervisor on Aircraft type, (or for workshop maintenance, at least 12 months experience on relevant aeronautical product preferably on a/c type or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, prioritise and work to tight timeframes with limited supervision
