**About the role**

**Administration Assistant - Planned Surgery Unit**
- Full time/Part time permanent hours available
- Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
- Colac Area Health currently has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our busy Perioperative Services team.
- The Administration Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a high level of administrative service to support the functions of Planned Surgery Preparation List Management and ESIS Reporting.
- This position will work closely with the Planned Surgery team to manage patients waiting for planned surgery.

**What’s required?**
- Previous, recent experience in the Planned Surgery and ESIS reporting roles
- Proven experience and ability to provide an efficient customer service
- Proficient in IT Software including Microsoft office (eg. word, excel, outlook, teams)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and privacy principles
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a diverse team
