About the Role:
Join our Huntly Operations leadership team as a motivated Supervisor in our vital Rehabilitation department, working a 10.3-hour day-shift roster.

As a Rehabilitation Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in providing the leadership, management, and essential support systems that empower our work teams and individuals to work cohesively. Your focus will be on achieving the business plan while driving continuous improvement in performance and overall effectiveness.

Your core responsibilities will encompass ensuring the delivery of high-quality mine rehabilitation outcomes, providing effective people management, facilitating training and coaching initiatives, ensuring the availability of necessary support systems and resources, and proactively addressing daily challenges through problem-solving.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clear direction, robust support, and proactive guidance to ensure the safety and optimal performance of all personnel under your supervision. This includes fostering a positive safety culture and empowering team members to contribute their best.- Effectively coordinating and leveraging the appropriate support resources required to enable the work teams to successfully achieve the business plan. This involves collaborating with various departments and ensuring teams have the tools and information they need.- Leading the problem-solving process to achieve sustained improvements in operational efficiency and rehabilitation quality. You will be instrumental in identifying root causes, implementing effective solutions, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.- Raising the overall effectiveness of the work teams by actively improving their capability through training and development, fostering strong engagement, and ensuring alignment of effort towards common goals. Your leadership will directly impact team morale and productivity.

What you can bring to the role:
- Deep knowledge of Bauxite Mine Operations with significant exposure to mine rehabilitation practices and regulations.- Proven strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills, alongside strong coordination abilities and versatility in a mining environment.- Experience effectively leading teams to achieve success, with a preference for experience within mine rehabilitation projects.- A demonstrated commitment to achieving high-quality, sustainable, and environmentally responsible mine rehabilitation outcomes.- You should hold or be willing to complete Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation. Alcoa will provide support in obtaining accreditation.- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership position or have worked in a similar operation or industry to Alcoa.

Huntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra alumina refinery. Bauxite ore from Alcoa’s Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
