**About the role**: Victoria Police is committed to reducing the number of Aboriginal children in the criminal justice system. As part of this commitment, Victoria Police introduced an enhanced cautioning model developed in partnership with the Victorian Aboriginal community to achieve better outcomes for Aboriginal children aged 10-17 in contact with police. This program is known as the Aboriginal Youth Cautioning Program (AYCP). Five Aboriginal Youth Cautioning Support Officer (AYCSO) roles have been established to support the effective operation and ongoing expansion of the AYCP in locations throughout Victoria. The advertised position (20045910) will be situated centrally within **Priority and Safer Communities Division** at police headquarters and will provide centralised oversight and reporting on the program, as well as identifying systemic issues or opportunities for enhancement of the AYCP model.
