Based in Mentone, Vic, this role is fast paced, requires someone with the ability to drive performance and safety standards within a busy 3PL environment.

The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience, strong numerical and analytical skills as well as extensive industry knowledge. Mentoring of a largely young but keen workforce will be a critical factor in your success in the role

You will be a process, safety, and quality driven person with a keen eye for detail.

**Your very varied day will include**:

- Preserve and promote a positive work culture, that is dedicated to safety, mentoring and continuous improvement.
- Manage the warehouse function, including people, rostering, process, and task allocation to meet customer demands
- Lead by example to ensure professional relationships are maintained internally and externally and the operation is set up to put the customer and their customers first.
- Ensure processes for inbound/outbound & adhoc freight are efficient and produce a timely outcome for customers
- Generate and own meaningful management reporting to make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Ensure operational and financial KPI’s are set and met
- Manage correct picking, packing, dispatching, and processing of orders including facilitating client stock-takes

**You need to have a**:

- Strong Safety and Continuous Improvement background
- Strong, broad operating experience in a fast-moving warehouse environment
- Experience with local transport management and optimisation tools would be ideal but not essential if you are quick learner and keen to expand your supply chain expertise
- Inventory Control experience, preferably obtained in a 3PL environment
- Excellent communication and people management skills, including demonstrated experience managing and developing employees
- Integrity, trustworthiness & professionalism underpinned by effective judgement skills and a firm but fair management style
- Customer centric approach to problem solving
- Proven successful history in building and maintaining key relationships between customers and suppliers
- Outcomes/results driven professional with demonstrated ability to achieve set KPI’s and targets.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite; including Excel, Word, Outlook - noting training and upskilling will be provided to enhance these skills
- A current Vic forklift license; Counterbalance and High Reach advantageous but not essential
