**_ An exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated and passionate Analysis and Reporting team as a Assistant Data Analyst_**

As the Assistant Data Analyst you will contribute to meaningful work, making a difference and solving problems facing the NSW Government. Working with large disparate data sets, you will deliver new insights, to support business needs. You will analyse data across all functions of Revenue NSW including the administration of state-based taxes, fines, unclaimed money, grants, and debt recovery.

You will be supported with great training and mentorship, and you’ll be joining a great organisation.

A key objective of the role is to work alongside our internal product owners to ensure new insights are deployed that enhance our customer experience and identify additional revenue opportunities, for the betterment of the people of NSW.

The Analysis and Reporting team is responsible for providing aggregated datasets, visualisations and insights to drive problem solving, improvement or project actions within internal business areas. The Analysis and Reporting team is also responsible for responding to questions posed by external parties. The team works collaboratively to understand the problem and deliver the solution in a format that provides clarity to the audience.

**To be successful in the role you will demonstrate**:

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications (analytics, data science or related discipline), or equivalent demonstrated professional experience.
- Developed problem-solving skills
- Ability to acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and assist in the maintenance of databases/data
- Able to deliver clear insights to support evidence-based decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster an effective working relationship with our internal and external stakeholders.
