**Casey Aged Care** has 146 aged care residential beds and is located in Narre Warren, Victoria. We pride ourselves on delivering the best care for our residents and firmly believe that happy staff equates to happy residents.

**About the Role...**

This Lifestyle Assistant role supports resident well-being in the Memory Support Households. Lifestyle activities and well-being experiences focus on socialising, reminiscence, connecting with nature, music, creativity, gardening, work & life skills, pet therapy, cultural and spiritual support. The Lifestyle team facilitate and promote group and individual experiences, provide memory and emotional support and recognise individual interests and preferences.

This position supports the newly designed Memory Support Households within Casey Aged Care.

**We have week day part time shifts available, across Monday to Friday with a possibility of weekend shifts.**

**About you...**

You are a highly organised energetic and self-motivated individual - someone who can manage their time, follow the activities schedule and be flexible with their workloads. You'll have a high level of teamwork with colleagues and your Team Leader and empathy and compassion too. You will have a passion for supporting with Lifestyle activities aged care residents with behavioural conditions.

**To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following**:
Essential skills and competencies:

- Certificate in Lifestyle/diversional therapy
- Excellent work experience in aged care with providing lifestyle activities and diversional therapy activities.
- Understanding and experience of dementia and behaviours in aged care residents.
- Teamwork with colleagues.
- Effective communication skills (written & verbal English)
- Friendly and positive engaging personality
- A passion for working in aged care with lifestyle activities.
- Computer and documentation skills
- Understanding of Hygiene and Safety practices in aged care
- Current police check
- Willingness to obtain or have Flu and COVID-19 vaccination.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

- Food Safety Certificate
- An understanding of the Aged Care Standards, accreditation, continuous improvement and ACFI requirements.
