The Project

The project is located in a remote location of Western Australia accessed by an approximate 1 and a half hour flight from Perth. The site is located approximate 20 minutes from the airport with the accommodation a trip from the site. The project is the new build of a Filtration Plant.

This is a FIFO role on a 2x1 roster working an average of 11 hours per day.

You will need to be clean shaven for this role and be happy to wear a paper mask on site at all time.

The Position

The Structural Mechanical Piping (SMP) Supervisor will act as support to the Project Manager and will be responsible for the day to day running of the project site; ensuring works are being completed safely, on time, to specification and schedule and within budget. The position will also be responsible for overseeing and managing the SMP onsite team, which includes related functions of onsite activities.

**Job Requirements**:
Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

- Coordinate staff, sub-contractors, labour, plant and material deliveries on site.
- Assist with the development of look ahead programs.
- Provide technical and logístical support to sub-contractors.
- Assist with raising TQ’s, variations, and delay notices.
- Responsible for the quality aspects of the work within assigned areas and for ensuring all work is completed in accordance with the baseline schedule.
- Review and monitor the availability of drawings, specifications, job instructions, material deliveries and tools applicable to his/her particular discipline and are of work.
- Develop detailed daily and weekly work plans in accordance with the baseline schedule to allow sufficient time for job preparation.
- Monitor that employees working within this discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) project drawings, baseline schedule, specifications, ITPs (internal test procedures), Procedures and Site Instructions.
- Conduct detailed pre-start meetings with work crew.
- Ensure employees are instructed in and comply with all aspects of Kerman Health Safety and Environment policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures & instructions and client requirements.
- Assist with risk assessment for construction activities.
- Facilitate JSA’s.
- Conduct worksite safety and environmental inspections.
- Assist with the preparation of work method statements.
- Perform QA worksite inspections with client representatives.
- Perform other duties within the organisation that may be necessary to suit operational requirements Perform other duties within the organisation that may be necessary to suit operational requirements.
- Take responsibility for your own safety, uphold the Company OHS&E policies and participate in Company OHS&E initiatives.

Core Competencies
- Experience in the SMP Mining Industry
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
- Good interpersonal skills to deal with client, management, team members and site personnel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Indentured trade qualifications.
- 10+ years’ experience
- AutoCAD or familiarity with various drawings software’s would be an advantage.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
- Section 44.
- Cert IV Frontline Management or equivalent (Desirable).
